Gates Super HC? Molded Notch Belts

Gates Super HC? Molded Notch Belts ? The Super HC molded notch V-belt is designed for use when conventional V-belts are impractical, especially where limited drive space, weight or sheave dimensional limitations are a major consideration. The belt has a new construction, called Vextra?, that increase service life by 33 percent over previous versions of this belt. The design eliminates the stretch or elongation problems associated with most V-belts. The result is reduced drive costs because Vextra belts last longer and improve performance, while minimizing maintenance, downtime and the need to frequently retension drive. Special notches, molded into the bottom of the belt during manufacturing, reduce bending stresses on drives that require smaller sheaves. The notches are precision engineered for uniform distribution of stresses, and they help minimize the heat of rapid flexing. Where energy savings are important, Super HC molded notch belts allow drives to be designed with higher RPM motors that typically have higher efficiencies at rated load. Special materials built into the belt provide resistance to oil, heat, ozone, sunlight, weather and aging. The belts are also static conductive.
